General
I love good pictures. When combined with the excellent screen of Nokia N9, the result is stunning. Daily Wallpaper automatically brings the best images from Flickr – one of the most popular photographer sites in the world – to your fingertips. Browse the latest popular wallpapers and pick a fresh one for your lockscreen or let Daily Wallpaper deliver you nice background images automatically. Get this app from Nokia Store
I want the app be even better and that is why it is going to stay free until at least end of winter 2011-2012 and I plan for weekly or biweekly updates based on your feedback. Please, add the ideas or vote for the existing ones and get your app improved.
P.S.
If you download the app before March 2012, it should stay free and get free updates forever (if Ovi store supports it and I think it does).

Update the wallpaper everytime the phone is locked
Resulting in a new image at every unlock.
Coding suggestion: Download 50 images at a time and cycle through them to avoid having to search and download images _all_ the time.

Help
Is there a way to save the pictures? Because some of them id like to save and put on my screen later.
25 votesAt the moment it is not possible. In general, it can be, but I am not sure if this app is exactly the best way to do it – it primarily operates behind the scenes after all :/

I was thinking more about creating a separate application dedicated to using images from the phone only. Though I wan’t probably have time for anything in the end – totally busy with the Qt-related startup I joined lately.

Filtering images
let the user specify some tags/keywords to search for. I'd love to see a lot of "urban decay" photos as wallpapers.

Download images in advance and in a bunch and not every hour
Downloading a new image every hour wastes some battery and also means that wallpapers are changed not exactly on schedule (sometimes download takes time, sometimes fails and app retries later).
Download wallpapers in a bunch, preferably during same round of network activity when phone is synchronizing emails or doing some other network stuff anyway.

Hey, that’s a very good idea! I’ll definitely do it at some point. Thanks for the idea.

Bug.
Bug. Tap on a picture. On the left you have back button, on the right you have "Set wallpaper" button. The "Set wallpaper" button is too close to the edge of the screen, lacks margin.

Display some "Loading.." indication while pictures are being loaded.
You know, in some places internet connection isn't that fast and I am not always sure if the app is still working.

Combine pictures coming from flickr with the local ones
Getting fresh popular wallpapers to the lock screen is cool, but I'd like it to be mixed with my favorite local photos

Choosing where to crop image could make it look better indeed, however, you can’t do that for each and every image in the automatic mode.
Or do you mean when setting image manually only?
